Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents safely, accurately, and with dignity.
They follow physician orders, adhere to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, and document all activities in MAR/TAR in real time.
The role involves observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, and reporting any concerns promptly.
Maintaining clean medication carts and rooms, completing narcotic counts, and following infection control and safety standards are essential duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards
• Monitor residents’ health and report changes or concerns
• Maintain organized medication areas and adhere to infection control protocols
