Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. The role involves administering medications per physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration, and documenting accurately in MAR/TAR in real time.

Key responsibilities include observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, reporting concerns promptly, completing narcotic counts, maintaining organized medication carts, and adhering to infection control and safety standards.

The position plays a vital role in preventing medication errors, detecting health changes early, and safeguarding resident safety through attention to detail and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED, 18+ years old
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred: senior care experience
