Medical Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a medical telemetry unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Collaboration with the interprofessional team ensures comprehensive care planning and communication across the continuum.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient preferences and cultural values.

Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals.

Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.

Participate in activities that ensure safety, quality, and compliance with regulations.

Engage in ongoing professional development and teamwork.

Qualifications & Skills:

RN licensure required; nursing diploma or associate’s degree; bachelor’s preferred.

Experience in telemetry is preferred; new graduates are also considered.

Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.

Ability to work safely and maintain alertness at all times.
