This PRN Night Shift Medical Technologist/Point-of-Care/MLT position at a small-format hospital involves providing technical and patient care support across laboratory and clinical areas.
Responsibilities include performing complex lab tests, specimen collection, quality control, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety protocols. Assists with patient care activities such as phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, vital signs, and wound care, while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. Coordinates laboratory activities with the team, ensures proper documentation, and supports infection control and safety standards. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Physical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science, current BLS certification, and relevant experience based on market requirements.
Additional skills in IV starts, phlebotomy, and EKG are a plus; training is provided.
