Role Overview: Performs clinical laboratory testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality. Maintains equipment, records, and participates in quality assurance activities. May supervise and teach laboratory staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate patient and specimen identification, reporting results within turnaround times.
- Analyze, interpret, and report lab data using clinical and theoretical knowledge.
- Monitor and resolve issues, document investigations, and maintain instrumentation.
- Contribute to performance improvements, inspection readiness, and cost-efficient processes.
- Adhere to policies, safety standards, and participate in ongoing education and team activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or Medical Science; Master’s preferred.
- Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
- Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in computer/data entry, with skills in Excel, Word, and basic computer operations; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare team members.
