Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Full-Time – Night Shift

Role Overview: Performs clinical laboratory testing under supervision, utilizing established protocols that require independent judgment. Maintains equipment and records, conducts quality assurance activities, and may supervise or train laboratory staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accuracy in patient testing, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency assessments.
  • Maintains proper specimen identification and documents QA investigations and trends.
  • Reports lab data accurately within turnaround times, analyzing and interpreting results with clinical relevance.
  • Monitors and resolves test status issues, documents in LIS, and adheres to departmental procedures and standards.
  • Supports laboratory performance improvement initiatives, contributes to inspection readiness, and practices cost-efficient workflows.
  • Maintains current knowledge of policies, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.
  • Participates in meetings, educational activities, and team projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
  • At least 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in computer data entry, with skills in Excel, Word, and basic computer operations; experience with Epic and 3M is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare team members.
