RN Med Surg provides high-quality, patient-centered care on a medical-surgical unit.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess adult patients, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments per clinical standards.
- Monitor patient conditions and recognize/report changes promptly.
- Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on care, treatments, and discharge information.
- Maintain safety practices and follow infection control protocols.
- Document care accurately and timely in the EMR.
Qualifications/skills:
- Current RN license and ability to deliver competent medical-surgical nursing care.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork with diverse patients and care teams.
- Ability to educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
- Knowledge of safety and infection prevention standards.
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and clinical record accuracy.
