Medical Physicist – Radiation Oncology

Role: Medical Physicist supporting Radiation Oncology, Medical Imaging, and other radiation-related departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform IMRT and conventional 3D treatment planning.
  • Conduct weekly patient chart reviews and participate in chart rounds.
  • Perform in-vivo dosimetry and patient-specific IMRT QA.
  • Verify treatment plans with second checks and manual calculations.
  • Conduct monthly testing of measurement equipment and plan Low/High dose Rate treatments.

Qualifications:

  • MS in Radiological Sciences or Medical Physics with at least three years of experience.
  • Board certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics and a professional license in New York.
  • Knowledge of radiation physics, radiobiology, treatment planning systems, accelerators, brachytherapy, and radiation safety.

Skills: Strong understanding of radiation physics, safety procedures, and treatment technologies.
