Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care within a high-acuity oncology unit, serving patients with cancer treatment and symptom management, including immunosuppression and neutropenia support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring clear communication across care continuum.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Accepted education: BSN or ADN; preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: RN required.
- Experience: New graduates accepted; 2+ years preferred.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
