Key duties include: demonstrating proficiency in obtaining accurate results, managing multiple work processes efficiently, handling specimens properly, confirming patient and specimen identification, performing instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, replenishing supplies, following reporting procedures, and assisting in training new employees.
Qualifications and skills: an associate’s degree in laboratory science, certification or eligibility as an MLT, with experience or military background considered a plus. Successful completion of competency exams and proficiency in computer applications are required.
