Key duties include:
- Managing specimen handling, identification, accessioning, and resolving discrepancies
- Performing instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control
- Replenishing supplies and following reporting procedures using multiple computer applications
- Assisting in training new employees and participating in ongoing education
- Maintaining productivity, efficiency, and compliance with policies in a clinical environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field or equivalent experience; certification or eligibility as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is preferred
- Military experience in related roles is welcomed
- Successful completion of competency exams required
