**Key duties include:**
– Conducting technical testing and serving as a technical expert at instrument or platform levels.
– Troubleshooting and resolving instrument issues.
– Making operational decisions in the absence of senior staff.
– Assisting with the evaluation, validation, and implementation of new tests, products, and instrumentation.
– Ensuring quality control, proficiency testing, and maintenance are completed and reviewed.
– Participating in training and committee activities, and assisting with inventory management.
– Interpreting specialized testing and maintaining competency through ongoing education.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
– Certification from ASCP or NAACLS preferred.
– Minimum of four years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
