Role Overview: The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs and reports various analyses from multiple specimen sources to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain productivity, manage multiple processes efficiently, handle specimens properly, confirm identification and suitability, use accessioning procedures, recognize and resolve discrepancies, perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, replenish supplies, follow reporting protocols, access multiple computer applications, assist in training new employees, participate in educational activities, and complete competency exams.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, successful completion of an accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program, or equivalent experience with certification. Ability to perform technical duties in a clinical environment, maintain quality standards, and work collaboratively.
