Responsibilities include:Preparing examination rooms and sterilizing equipmentRooming patients, taking health histories, and checking vital signsDocumenting patient care in electronic medical recordsPerforming phlebotomy, urinalysis, and handling specimensAdministering medications, injections, and immunizationsAssisting providers with in-office procedures and point-of-care testingQualifications:Medical Assistant diploma, certification, or relevant experience, or current enrollment in an accredited programBasic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification or completion within 90 days of hirePreferred Skills:Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA, CMAC)Experience with electronic medical records and medical back-office tasksStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
