Role Overview:
This position requires a Registered Medical Assistant (MA) with at least 5 years of experience in Primary Care Medicine and familiarity with Epic electronic health records. The MA will provide clinical support under the supervision of a physician or licensed provider, performing tasks to promote patient health across various specialties, from diabetes and hypertension to pediatrics and adult care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and stock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
- Obtain vital signs, patient histories, and accurately document in records.
- Perform clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and injections.
- Manage triage calls, relay test and lab results, and present information to providers using correct medical terminology.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certifications in relevant area; CPR certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; no experience required for entry-level.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
