Role Summary
Provide patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients, monitoring for clinical changes, administering medications and ordered treatments, and performing required nursing interventions.
- Deliver direct patient care with a focus on safety, comfort, and effective outcomes
- Assess patients and recognize/report changes in condition
- Administer medications and complete ordered procedures
- Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly
- Educate patients and families to support understanding and self-care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate and improve care
