Role Overview:
This position involves supporting multiple hospitals as a Long-Term Assignment (LTA) Registered Nurse (RN) in medical-surgical units, providing high-quality, patient-centered care across a health system. The nurse will be assigned to a single hospital for an extended period, fostering familiarity with the team and workflows, while supporting 11 hospitals in Missouri and Illinois.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and care planning based on evidence-based practices.
- Coordinate and advocate for patients by collaborating with families and interprofessional teams.
- Promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance through participation in professional development.
- Utilize leadership skills to foster a positive work environment, mentoring colleagues and students.
- Apply nursing knowledge to diverse patient conditions, ensuring culturally sensitive and holistic care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and providers to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2+ years of acute care Med/Surg RN experience (required).
- Current RN license in Missouri; ability to obtain Illinois license.
- Strong adaptability, resourcefulness, and ability to integrate into new teams quickly.
- Education: ADN, BSN, or MSN accepted.
- Certifications: BLS required; supervisory experience preferred but not mandatory.
