Med Surg RN (Full-Time, Night Shift)

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit within a critical access hospital. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while promoting patient and family-centered healing. The role emphasizes education on illness management, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with collaboration across the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid RN license; no prior experience required, though two years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a healthcare environment.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to diverse patient populations, including infants to seniors.
  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication administration, and health management.
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
