This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg 5W, responsible for delivering patient care using the nursing process, ensuring patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability. The nurse evaluates care effectiveness, coordinates with other departments, and performs duties aligned with organizational standards and values.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing care for adult medical patients with diverse diagnoses such as infections, obstructions, and pneumonia.
- Assessing patient conditions and managing multiple medical needs.
- Evaluating and supporting the care provided by other caregivers.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and rights.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred: prior hospital experience, BSN, additional certifications, and specialty experience.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing, walking, and mobility tasks.
