Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The RN promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management and post-treatment needs, and participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Responsibilities include developing and communicating individualized care plans, assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and respecting patient values and barriers. The role requires alertness and safety awareness, with an emphasis on professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational requirements: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licensure: Active RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for higher roles.
- Preferred: Med Surg experience and BSN degree.
