Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in safety, quality, and professional development activities. Responsibilities include developing and communicating individualized care plans, assessing physical and psychosocial needs, and respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Current RN licensure.
- Experience in Med Surg is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work safely and alertly in a healthcare setting.
Key Duties:
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care.
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
