Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and ongoing professional development.
- Develops and documents individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, considering cultural and individual preferences.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of an RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Med Surg and/or Telemetry, with at least 2 years of experience for higher-level roles.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work safely in a high-alert environment is essential.
