Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities within established care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
- Maintain safety as a priority, demonstrating alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; RN license required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience, especially in Med Surg or Telemetry.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
