Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, assessing physical and psychosocial needs, and ensuring effective communication across the care continuum. The role requires alertness and safety awareness, with a focus on delivering excellent care while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred
- Licensure: RN license
- Preferred experience: 2+ years, with telemetry experience
- Additional qualifications: BSN degree and supervisory experience are advantageous
