Role: Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities within established standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Create, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and provide holistic care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN license required; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree as minimum education.
- Preferred: BSN degree and 2+ years of Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety awareness essential.
