Role Overview
The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, ensuring resident safety through accurate medication administration, health monitoring, and detailed clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders while following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR and support care plan updates
- Monitor symptoms, report adverse reactions, and conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
- Transcribe physician orders and observe physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
- Maintain medication carts, conduct narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulations
- Report health changes early and assist in safeguarding resident well-being
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication management preferred
