Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity to residents in a senior living environment.
They follow physician orders, adhere to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, and document all actions in MAR/TAR in real time.
Monitoring residents during and after medication passes, observing for symptoms, and reporting any concerns or refusals promptly are essential duties.
Maintaining organized medication carts, adhering to infection control and safety standards, and completing narcotic counts ensure regulatory compliance and resident safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Senior care experience preferred

This role plays a critical part in preventing medication errors, early health change detection, and safeguarding resident wellbeing through attention to detail and compliance.
