Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity to residents in a senior living environment. This role involves following physician orders, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, and maintaining detailed documentation in MAR/TAR in real time.

Key responsibilities include observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, reporting concerns promptly, and completing narcotic counts according to policy. Maintaining clean, organized medication carts and rooms while following infection control and safety standards is essential to ensure resident safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care

This role plays a critical part in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and safeguarding resident well-being through attention to detail and regulatory adherence.
