Role Overview
The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents accurately, safely, and with dignity, following physician orders and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments per physician instructions.
- Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time.
- Observe residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms and reporting concerns promptly.
- Complete narcotic counts and maintain organized medication supplies.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent errors and ensure resident safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED, age 18+.
- Medication Administration certification, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience in senior care preferred.
