Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity to residents in a senior living environment. Key duties include following physician orders, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, documenting accurately in MAR/TAR, monitoring residents during and after medication passes, and reporting any concerns promptly.

Additional responsibilities involve maintaining organized medication carts, following infection control and safety standards, completing narcotic counts, and observing residents for health changes. The role requires attention to detail to prevent medication errors, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote resident safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED and minimum age of 18
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred: Senior care experience
