Role Summary
The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents safely, accurately, and with dignity, ensuring compliance with physician orders and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document all medication activities accurately in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor residents during and after medication passes for adverse reactions or health changes
- Report refusals, concerns, or symptoms promptly to the appropriate team members
- Maintain clean and organized medication carts and rooms
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent errors and ensure resident safety
- Complete narcotic counts per policy and observe regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED; age 18+
- Medication Administration certification
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Preferred experience in senior care setting
