Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents safely, accurately, and with dignity.
Key duties include following physician orders, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, documenting in MAR/TAR in real-time, observing residents during and after medication passes, and monitoring symptoms for symptom relief.

Additional responsibilities involve reporting refusals or concerns promptly, completing narcotic counts, maintaining clean medication carts and rooms, and following infection control and safety standards.
This role plays a vital part in preventing medication errors, early identification of health changes, and ensuring resident safety through attention to detail and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care
