Role Overview: The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity in a senior care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Observe residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms and administering medications for relief
- Report refusals or concerns promptly and complete narcotic counts as per policy
- Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms, adhering to infection control and safety standards
- Play a vital role in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and ensuring resident safety through attention to detail and compliance
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
- Medication Administration certification, CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Senior care experience preferred
