Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments accurately, safely, and with dignity to residents in a senior living environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Documenting in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Monitoring residents during and after medication passes
• Observing symptoms and administering medications for relief
• Reporting refusals or concerns promptly
• Completing narcotic counts and maintaining medication carts and rooms
• Adhering to infection control and safety standards

The role demands attention to detail to prevent medication errors, early identification of health changes, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Experience in senior care preferred
