Role Overview: As a Medication Aide/Med Tech, you are responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents accurately and safely, ensuring dignity and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document medication administration promptly in MAR/TAR
- Monitor residents during and after medication passes, observing symptoms and responding to concerns
- Report refusals or health changes immediately
- Maintain medication carts and rooms in a clean, organized manner
- Complete narcotic counts as per policy and adhere to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
- Medication Administration certification, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Preferred experience in senior care
