The Meat Wrapper handles meat products by weighing, wrapping, pricing, and labeling them, while maintaining a clean work area and stocking shelves. They provide attentive and courteous customer service and follow safety and sanitation regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate pricing and proper processing of meat products.
- Follow federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Maintain case conditions through cleaning, stocking, and rotating products to minimize shrink.
- Deliver friendly customer service and perform tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of different meat cuts and basic math skills.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, push, and handle loads up to 100 lbs, with exposure to various temperatures.
- Experience in retail or meat departments preferred.
- Ability to operate wrapping machines, scales, and other equipment.
This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent customer service skills in a retail environment.
