Manager, Surgery Administration – Full-time, Dayshift

Job Summary:
Creates a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment by supervising nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality care, patient safety, and staff satisfaction. Collaborates with healthcare teams, coordinates daily unit activities, and supports organizational goals. Maintains a visible leadership presence, develops staff through coaching and evaluations, and fosters open communication. Addresses operational needs, manages staffing, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. Conducts rounds, monitors care processes, and resolves patient care issues to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (required); Master’s preferred
  • RN licensure in practice state (required)
  • At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience (preferred)
  • Leadership experience and certifications such as CPR/BLS and specialty or nursing administration certifications (preferred)
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and team-building skills

  • Recruits, retains, and develops a skilled clinical team
  • Sets goals for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Implements strategies to improve satisfaction among patients, families, and staff
  • Conducts rounds, oversees patient care activities, and addresses operational issues
  • Manages staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal care delivery
  • Facilitates patient throughput, safety protocols, and emergency preparedness
