The Manager RN oversees the Surgical Department, responsible for planning, organizing, and directing operations and staff to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal outcomes.
Provides 24-hour accountability for clinical practice, staff management, and compliance with policies and standards.Coordinates surgical services, including OR, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, and Pain Procedures, while supervising patient care in pre-, peri-, and post-operative phases.Participates in committees, quality monitoring, performance improvement, and staff development activities.Ensures regulatory compliance, maintains equipment, manages schedules, and oversees sterile processing and supply inventory.Conducts staff evaluations, orientations, and competency reviews, and supports budget and policy updates.Requires RN licensure, CNOR certification within 2 years, BLS, and NIMS training; preferred Master’s degree with clinical or health-related focus.Demonstrates leadership, communication skills, and ability to work under stress, with physical ability to perform job functions.
