The Manager RN oversees nursing operations and staff within a designated department, ensuring high-quality patient care and optimal health outcomes.
They are responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluating patient care, staffing, scheduling, and staff performance, including hiring, disciplining, and conducting performance reviews.
They collaborate with physicians and other departments, develop policies, and lead process improvements and standards of care.
Additional duties include budget planning, participating in committees, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and leading staff education and development.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in nursing (Master’s preferred), current RN licensure, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIMS.
Must have relevant clinical and leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle stressful situations in a dynamic healthcare environment.
