Summary of Role:
This position involves providing mammography services in accordance with physicians’ orders, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and confidentiality. Responsibilities include preparing diagnostic equipment, performing imaging procedures, developing films, and evaluating image quality. The role requires patient education, addressing age-specific needs, and minimizing radiation exposure. Candidates must accurately input data into computer systems, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain safety standards, including radiation safety and infection control. Additional duties involve monitoring patient conditions, adhering to regulatory guidelines, and working collaboratively within a team, including shift rotations and standby call. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Washington state radiologic technologist certification, BLS certification, and preferably one year of mammography experience. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential.
