Mammography Tech I/II – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic- North Houston Campus

Role Overview: The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, including mammography and DEXA scans, under supervision, utilizing specialized equipment and adhering to departmental policies. Responsibilities vary by experience level, with increasing duties at higher levels.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images based on physician orders.
  • Perform mammography and DEXA studies using RIS and PACS systems.
  • Follow quality assurance measures and accreditation standards.
  • May undertake additional technical or non-technical duties as trained.

  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED, with graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • 40 hours of mammography training approved by ARRT, with supervised exams.
  • ARRT (R)(M) or eligibility to obtain ARRT(M) within a year.
  • BLS certification, MRT-General, and knowledge of quality assurance protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Preferred Experience: For higher levels, 1+ years of mammography experience or relevant X-ray/SCNB experience.


    Compensation & Benefits: Hourly pay ranges from $35.00 to $63.00, based on factors such as experience and certifications. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, incentive programs, 401(k), and stock options.
