Position Overview:
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or direction of a licensed healthcare professional. Ensures professional accountability, coordinates care with other departments, and maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Operates in alignment with organizational mission, values, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver care to cardiac and respiratory patients in a fast-paced, intermediate unit (PCU) that combines elements of ED and ICU
– Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute patient care
– Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality
– Support patient safety and comfort in a critical care environment
Qualifications & Skills:
– Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited institution
– Current LPN license in the state or ability to obtain within 90 days
– BLS certification; IV certification within 1 year
– Strong assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
