We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an advanced care unit specializing in caring for acutely unstable patients.
Key responsibilities include: assisting with patient assessments, administering oral and IV medications, performing trach care, dressing changes, and documenting care plans after RN assessments.
Work environment: a fast-paced, team-oriented unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, utilizing advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and lines.
Qualifications: valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and relevant experience.
Duties involve: performing comprehensive patient assessments, implementing and modifying care plans, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Additional info: includes seizure monitoring in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and responsibility for documentation, safety, and communication with patients and families.
