Provide routine, standardized nursing care under physician supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians with examinations and procedures.
- Scheduling diagnostic tests, referrals, and hospital admissions.
- Monitoring and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
- Documenting vital statistics and patient history accurately.
- Calling in prescriptions per physician instructions.
- Educating patients on health behaviors and self-care.
- Preparing and cleaning exam rooms and supplies.
- Handling clinical phone calls and forwarding urgent matters.
- Completing medical forms for insurance purposes and notifying physicians of schedule changes.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of an approved LPN program or recognized equivalency.
- Current LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or applicable state.
- No prior experience required.
- Ability to obtain RN licensure if pursued, with notification to management.
Additional Information:
- This role reports to a supervisor and is non-management.
- Work shifts are variable.
