LPN – Practical Nurse – Acute Care Trauma Unit

Role: Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing needs, and supporting discharge planning within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing data to assessments and care plans based on scope of practice and standards.
  • Addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Reinforcing patient and family education throughout hospitalization.
  • Administering treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policy.
  • Evaluating intervention effectiveness and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
  • Participating in evidence-based practice decision-making and providing input on team performance.
  • Precepting and mentoring new staff and students.

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of Specialty Training Program-Nursing, with strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills. Ability to coordinate care and promote safety and satisfaction.

Work Environment & Schedule: Typically in a clinical environment, with hours from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday shifts.
