LPN – Practical Nurse – Acute Care Orthopedic Telemetry Unit

Role Overview: An Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, while supporting patient and family education, discharge planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include administering treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and participating in unit-based decision-making and evidence-based practices. The role involves mentoring new staff, precepting students, and promoting patient safety and satisfaction.


Qualifications & Skills: Requires graduation from a specialty nursing training program. Candidates must demonstrate compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to policies. Strong communication, clinical assessment, and collaboration skills are essential.


Key Duties: Contribute data to assessments, assist in care planning and evaluation, and coordinate patient interactions. Ensure high-quality care while fostering a safe and positive environment. Work typically involves night shifts, weekends, and holidays, primarily in units with diverse medical conditions, including orthopedic and surgical patients.
