Role Overview
This position involves providing licensed nursing support to residents by administering medications, monitoring health, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The nurse ensures medication safety by following the Six Rights of Medication Administration, transcribing physician orders, and conducting health updates. They observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes, and maintain compliance standards through proper medication cart management and narcotic counts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments per physician instructions
- Document accurately in MAR/TAR in real time
- Monitor symptoms and respond to adverse reactions or refusals
- Support care plan updates and transcribe physician orders
- Observe resident health changes and report promptly
- Maintain medication carts and uphold regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Preferred experience in senior care or medication administration
