Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, ensuring resident safety through safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document medication and treatment details accurately in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and health changes, reporting promptly
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and support care plan updates by transcribing physician orders
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical skills
- Preferred experience in senior care or medication administration
