Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse in a senior living environment.
Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments following physician orders, ensuring accuracy and safety by adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration. Maintain precise clinical documentation in MAR/TAR, monitor residents’ symptoms, and report any adverse reactions or refusals promptly. Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs), transcribe physician orders, support care plan updates, and observe physical, emotional, or cognitive changes. Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Play a vital role in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and safeguarding resident well-being.
Qualifications & Skills: Active LPN license in good standing, CPR and First Aid certification. Strong assessment, observation, and documentation skills. Experience in senior care or medication administration is preferred.
