Role Overview: The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration to ensure safety
- Accurately document activities in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor resident symptoms, administer medications for relief, and report adverse reactions or refusals promptly
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and transcribe physician orders
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
